Beyoncé enters the bud business.
In particular, the R&B queen and the youngest cover star of Harper’s Bazaar is building a cannabis and hemp farm to get her own CBD.
“I discovered CBD on my last tour and experienced its benefits for pain and inflammation,” she said in an interview. “It has helped me with my restless nights and the excitement that comes with being unable to fall asleep.”
The relief from the non-psychoactive part of the cannabis plant helped King Bey learn about the healing properties of the cannabis plant, but it also inspired her to start a honey farm that would contribute to her well-being and her children. “I even have hives [top of] my roof! ”she added in the chat.
“I am very happy that my daughters are given examples of this [positive] Rituals from me, ”she also revealed. This isn’t the first time Beyoncé has made her mark on the cannabis industry. Last year, their BeyGood Foundation partnered with the NAACP to provide a $ 10,000 grant to Maryland-based cannabis company The Gift to help black-owned businesses hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
And while this is Beyoncé’s first cannabis business of its own, it isn’t the first in the Carter Knowles family. Her husband, Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, recently launched his own brand: Monogram, a cannabis and lifestyle company owned by TPCO Holding Corp. Brand Ambassadors.
Jay-Z’s stake in the new cannabis company, created through a partnership between Caliva, Left Coast Ventures, Subversive Capital Acquisition Corp. and Roc Nation is known as “The Parent Company” and is set to become the largest in California.
Carter’s engagement as chief visionary officer will enable billionaire MC to take a proactive approach to social justice.
“While we know we cannot fully redress the injustices caused by the ‘war on drugs’, we can help create a better, more inclusive future,” Carter said in a press release. “The brands we build will pave a new path for a legacy based on justice, access and equity. We are creating something that people can trust and investing in our future, our employees and our communities. “
Monogram currently only offers high quality THC bud, but a hemp / CBD line from his wife, Beyoncé, is a likely future addition that will appear shiny forever between these two billionaires.
