Recent studies have shown that CBD products could be an effective way to combat nicotine addiction.

Earlier this year, a study by CV Sciences, Inc., a hemp-derived CBD company, in collaboration with the University of California, San Diego, found that CBD prevented nicotine-dependent rats from experiencing withdrawal symptoms such as somatic symptoms, hyperalgesia, and weight gain while briefly – and long-term nicotine restriction.

A 2018 study published in the journal Addiction also found that CBD could help prevent smokers from relapsing when trying to quit the habit. According to this study, a single oral dose of 800 mg of CBD reduced the noticeability and comfort of cigarette stimuli compared to a placebo after a nocturnal cigarette abstinence.
