“Kempton Park CBD deteriorates” – reader

Editor – Despite paying R315,000 a year for a building, the sidewalks in Kempton Park’s CBD are simply never maintained.

The photo shows the sidewalk on Pretoria Road, which has been that way for three years.

It appears that the deterioration in sidewalks in the CBD area is not of concern.

Businesses rely on feet to stay alive and continue to pay taxes and fees.

Shops offer jobs. However, the landlords / tenants must continue to operate their businesses in the CBD with little or no maintenance.

Can the Ekurhuleni Council please comment on this?
