The perfect place for berry choosing this summer time simply is perhaps at a Hemp Farm

It’s berry picking and outdoor market season! And this particular one in Redmond happens to be on a hemp farm.

One of the well-known U-Pick farms in Redmond now has a lot more than just berries, apples and pumpkins … you can snack on your freshly picked blueberries and watch cannabis plants grow right before your eyes.

Jessi Bloom is the owner of NW Bloom Ecological Services, cannabis breeder and co-host of Blooming Market. Natali from ZOZ Wellness is a big player in the cannabis space, focusing on sustainability, turning cannabis into a universally accepted elixir for enjoyment, wellbeing and relief.

These two women joined forces with Kismet after a series of encounters to create a strong partnership. Realizing that they both had a strong passion for organically grown cannabis and other herbs that contribute to general wellbeing, Natali and Jessi decided to team up to make sure they monitor and understand every gram (pun intended) of the growing process where your product is coming from

Not only do these women break through the glass ceilings in the cannabis industry, they also foster business partnerships and a general community culture geared towards inclusion.

The Saturday Blooming Market is a prime example of this. This particular market is a women-run collective of great women selling farmed fruits and vegetables, handicrafts, and a variety of locally made products. And occasionally even the ever-popular henna tattoo. The market is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., including organic U-Pick blueberries from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Located at p. 47 Farms in Redmond, you can stop by U-Pick and have the opportunity to see the plants, learn and enjoy being together. You are welcome to bring the children too! Since Jessi and Natali are both mothers themselves, they warmly welcome families to join in the festivities, including a little howling maze for the little ones.

In fighting the stigma of cannabis and the challenges women often face in the business world, these two pave the way for a diverse culture that empowers all parties involved.

Visit the Blooming Market on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and stay up to date on all things NW Bloom Farm by following them on Instagram.
