World Hemp : Joins the U.S. Hemp Constructing Affiliation

Vancouver, BC – (February 12, 2021) – GLOBAL HEMP GROUP INC. (‘GHG’ or the ‘Company’) (CSE: GHG / OTC: GBHPF / FRANKFURT: GHG) is pleased to announce that it has become a member of the US Hemp Building Association (‘USHBA’). As the company continues development of its Colorado Hemp Agro-Industrial Zone (“HAIZ”), having access to a resource like the USHBA and other industry professionals will be of great benefit. The Colorado HAIZ is being developed under the banner of Innovative Hemp Technologies (“IHT”). The main goal of IHT; Developing “green” and “affordable” homes in a Planned Unit Development (PUD) using hemp-based building materials to meet historical pent-up demand in the region, including developing large-scale irrigation and growing industrial hemp and manufacturing building products and hemp-based textiles. This will significantly expand real estate as well as existing water rights and infrastructure assets while generating multiple sources of income for the company.

The US Hemp Building Association

The mission of the US Hemp Building Association is to support and stand up for hemp building professionals, hemp building projects and hemp building materials in the United States. Through initiatives focused on driving hemp adoption in building codes, creating educational materials, and gathering information on current products, buildings in which hemp is used, and supply chain options, they strive to provide the industry with the tools to use To provide what it needs to thrive. ‘Together we can change the world’.

Since the world is full of health and environmental problems, hemp building products offer a solution for both. The use of chemicals in our buildings has increased as we try to improve their fire resistance and thermal performance. This has increased the prevalence of sick building syndrome, which is caused by exposure to these toxins. Hemp materials can replace the use of these chemical laden products and improve the health of the people living in them.

The construction industry has one of the largest carbon footprints of any industry. As the world continues to focus on ways to reduce its negative impact on the environment, the construction industry needs to be overhauled. Hemp building materials bind the carbon absorbed by the plant during the growth process into the building and retain it for the life of the structure. Houses made from hemp from the region, which are made from hemp concrete, can be CO2 negative. The positive effects of using hemp in building materials are clear and our goal is to make this widely understood.

Jacob Waddell, President of USHBA stated, ‘The future will require improvements in our building practices to create a sustainable industry. Hemp is our chance to improve the health of our families and our world by building smarter. Please join USHBA in making healthy cannabis homes a reality. ‘
